I keep hearing about the 7 Habits. What are they?
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People are goals we have for ourselves as Carroll students and staff. By following these principles, we aim to become more effective leaders as we develop increased maturity, achieve greater productivity, and improve our skills in communication and relationship building. You will hear, see, and feel the 7 Habits being incorporated into all of your classes at Carroll, but particularly in our "My Learning" class at the start of each school day.

-
Do I get to pick my elective classes?
Yes! At the end of each school year, our School Counselors will let you know how and when to sign up for Electives for the upcoming school year.
-
Can I change my Electives once they're assigned?
Potentially. Be on the lookout for a form from your Counselor to request a change or reach out to them directly.
-
How can I get involved?
At Carroll, we offer endless leadership opportunities both during school and after-school hours. Be on the lookout for postings and announcements around the building or ask a teacher for ideas. For example, you could be your class greeter, try out for a sports team or theatre production, lead in Lighthouse Team, join a club, or even start your own club! The best thing about Carroll is that there is no shortage of opportunities to demonstrate leadership!

Why do you call the Media Center the Learning Commons?
Simply put, because our Media Center is so much more than a media archive! Don't get us wrong, our Learning Commons houses an awesome, ever-growing selection of books, but it's also a space where students and teachers come together to synergize and bring ideas to life in new ways using our Maker's Space and innovative technology such as 3D printers, robots, and more.
