Kindergarten/1st Grade Ukulele Jam Band

Students will learn how to play the ukulele in this quarter long elective, while cultivating fine motor and foundational instrumental skills. They will learn about the cultures of Hawaii and Portugal. Students will play a variety of music from today’s top 10 hits to Classic Hawaiian. 

Second Grade Rockin’ Recorders

Students will learn how to play the recorder in this quarter long elective, and learn how to work  together in an ensemble. Students will get to play along with various recordings and even compose their own song at the end. Recorders will be provided for all students in this elective. 

Third Grade Beginning Band

Come play in the year-long performing band! Pick from Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba, and Percussion. Need a quick refresher on the differences between them all or want to try one out before you pick? Come to the band trailer and give it a shot! There will be an informational meeting about instrument rentals on September 11th at 4:30pm in the Orchestra Room. 

4th/5th Grade Advanced band

Welcome Back! Join the year-long advanced band and get ready to work hard and play hard. Continue to grow as great musicians and learn even more about your instrument and how to play in an ensemble. They sky's the limit to all of the fun we can have while making amazing music together.  If you have any questions or concerns come talk to me, the door is always open. 

**This year we will be accepting “new to band” 4th and 5th grade students on a case by case basis. Always wanted to try band out? Now is your last chance before middle school.
