Hello, Lead Mine Leopards. My name is Brenda DySard and this will be my sixth year teaching at LME and my second-year teaching 5th grade. I am looking forward to having the opportunity to teach some of my former scholars this school year, as well as getting to know more of our LME community. I have a Master of Education and have been teaching for 29 years. I still feel truly blessed to have a front seat to your child’s learning each day.
My husband and I live in Wake Forest and currently have two boys attending college and twins beginning their sophomore year in High School. We also have a Havanese named Cooper that puts a smile on our face every day. When I am not teaching, you can find me spending time with my family and friends enjoying live theatre, country concerts, bike riding, and spending time at the NC beaches.
I look forward to fostering a classroom community of leaders, learners, and kind human beings.
