Learning Commons Information and Policies
The Oak Grove Learning Commons houses over 20,000 titles, 20 computers, and a professional library.

Hours- The Learning Commons is open from 8:45 AM to 4:00 PM on school days. We will close at 1:30 PM on Early Release days.

When can students visit the Learning Commons? Students are welcome to use the Learning Commons at any time during the school day with the permission of their teacher. Students must be accompanied by an adult after school and during track out.

Who can check out books? Students, parents and staff members are all welcome to check out materials from our Learning Commons.

How many books can a student check out? We encourage students to check out what they can read in a week. Kindergarten students are allowed 2 books, while 1st grade is allowed 4 books. 2nd-5th graders are allowed a maximum of 5 books.

Loan Periods- Books are lent out to students and parents for a three week period. There are no fines for overdue books.

Lost or Damaged Books- If you believe that a book is lost or damaged, or have any questions, please contact the Mrs. Caflisch, the Media Specialist.

 Help monitor the library books your children bring home by practicing the 5-finger rule with them to determine if they are “just-right” books!
