     Classroom Instruction

    The Driver Education classroom program has a minimum of 30 hours of classroom instruction. There is a minimum class size of 25 students and a maximum of 35 students. The class schedule is normally 3 hours per day for 10 scheduled school days after school hours and 6 hours per day for 5 days during the summer.

    Behind the Wheel Training

    Once all classroom requirements are completed, students are placed on a waiting list and when it is time for students to receive Behind the Wheel Training, a driving instructor will be assigned to schedule the behind the wheel driving training. The current waiting period between the completion of the class and behind the wheel instruction is approximately 4-6 months.

    The behind the wheel instructor is responsible for calling and scheduling students to drive. When called, please remember to write down your driving instructor’s name and number, driving schedule, place to meet and to be picked up. You must provide your own transportation to and from driving sessions.  Please be patient as we attempt to drive students as quickly as possible.

    • Registration is first come first served! 
    • The website will not show classes schedules until registration opens.
    • All registration must be submitted and paid for online, during the registration window.
    • Students can only attend driver's education classes at their assigned/attending school.
    • Registration and Payment are now paperless.
    • Students must be 14.5 years of age by the first day of class to be eligible to register.

    Class Registration Periods:

    • Fall Semester Classes- Registration will open Thursday, September 12th at 11am.
    • Spring Semester Classes-- Registration will take place in December.          
    • Summer Classes- Registration will take place in early April

     

    Fall 2024 Classes & Registration Information
    Registration for Panther Creek Fall Semester Classes will open on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 11 am.  Registration will be done online at www.jordandriving.com on a first come first serve basis. Students must be at least 14.5 years old on or before the first day of class to register. Once the classes are full, the site will no longer allow you to register online. Each class has 35 seats.

    Session #1: Sept 26, 27, 30, October 1, 2, 4, 7, 8, 9, & 10 2024
    Session #2: Nov 4, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 15, 18, 19, 2024
    Session #3: Dec. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 2024
    These sessions are held after school in the PCHS Media Center.

  • The Driver Education course in its entirety from classroom to in-car instruction at PCHS is approximately 6 months to complete fully. Families are encouraged to seek the driver education course as soon as students qualify. Students have to be 14.5 years old at the start date of the course to qualify for instruction.
