• PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports

Creech Road Elementary uses Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) as an approach for establishing a culture and individualized behavioral supports needed for our school to be an effective learning environment for all students. PBIS is the backbone of our school community and helps us maintain a positive school climate. You may have heard your child talking about The Tiger Trio - Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe. It's like our motto at Creech Road. These are the things we expect from ALL of our students, in EVERY part of the building, at ALL times of the day! The Tiger Trio is a part of PBIS.

PBIS is "a broad range of proactive, systematic and individualized strategies for achieving important social and learning outcomes in safe and effective environments while preventing problem behavior with all students" (Sugai, 2007). PBIS is an evidenced-based practice.

  • PBIS Guiding Principles

    1. All Students are valuable and deserve respect.
    2. All students can be taught to demonstrate appropriate behavior.
    3. Punishment does not work to change behavior.

In addition to implementing The Tiger Trio - Be Respectful, Be Responsible and Be Safe, the PBIS Team also manages the following programs at Creech Road:

    1. The Implementation of Class Dojo
    2. The Tiger Roar Store
