About: I started my career at Washington student teaching in a Kindergarten classroom in 2005 and never wanted to leave! I graduated as a teaching fellow from Meredith College with a degree in Human Communication and my K-6 teaching license. I then taught first grade for 8 years and spent 2 years teaching Kindergarten. I am a Nationally Board Certified Teacher and graduated from Gardner Webb University with a Masters in Executive Leadership with my principal license. This is my ninth year as Magnet Coordinator and I enjoy being able to share the gifts and talents of our students with others! Washington GT Magnet is a special place that provides opportunities that turn into possibilities. In my free time, I enjoy watching football and basketball (Go Deacs and Panthers!), watching Hockey (Go Canes) reading, making things on my cricut and spending time with my family: my husband Casey and my two boys, Tyler and Mason and our dog Midnight!
