Welcome to Lincoln Heights Environmental Connections Magnet Elementary! We're thrilled to have you as a part of our learning community, as we embark on a journey of growth together!

As your Principal, it brings me immense joy to serve in this role. Let me take a moment to share a bit about myself. Originally hailing from a small suburb outside of Grand Rapids, Michigan, I've always had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. My formative years were filled with cherished moments exploring nature and savoring the wonders of Michigan.

My career in education began in Las Vegas, Nevada, where I taught for a few years before my family and I relocated to North Carolina. Over the years, I've had the privilege of serving as a fourth-grade teacher, intervention teacher, math coach, TAP Master Teacher and assistant principal.

This year marks my 10th year as a school administrator, I've been dedicated to school leadership. Joining the Lincoln Heights staff as the assistant principal in the summer of 2019, I was humbled to be appointed as the principal in the winter of 2021. Working with our students, staff, and families has been an incredibly rewarding experience. At Lincoln Heights, we foster a sense of family and community, which is central to our values.

As we embark on the new academic year, I'm excited to build upon the progress we achieved last year. Our theme, Rooted in Success, this year will focus on our successes, and continuing to strive toward academic excellence. Our focus will remain strong on enhancing reading, math, and science skills embedded into our Environmental Connections magnet theme, and we'll continue to cultivate positive relationships with our students, staff, and families.
