A Little About Me

Welcome to North Ridge Elementary! I am incredibly proud to serve as the principal of such a special school community. I began my career in education in 2000 as a first grade teacher at Underwood Elementary, and since that time I have had the opportunity to serve in a variety of roles supporting students, teachers, and families. I earned my Master’s degree in School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and spent nine years as an assistant principal at Olive Chapel, Durant Road, and Brassfield Road elementary schools. From 2015 to 2022, I served as the principal of Underwood Elementary before joining the North Ridge community in 2022.

At North Ridge, we are fortunate to have an incredible group of students, dedicated educators, and supportive families who work together to create a welcoming and engaging learning environment. I believe strongly in building positive relationships, supporting teachers, and helping every student grow academically, socially, and emotionally. It is truly a privilege to partner with our families as we help our students learn, explore, and thrive each day.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Courtney, and our two children, Braxton and Brynn. Much of our free time is spent at our kids’ activities, and when I get the chance, I enjoy going for a run or catching up on a good book.

I am grateful to be part of the North Ridge Elementary community and look forward to another great year of learning and growth together.
