    • Choose the safest route to school
    • Understand your child's limitations
    • Sea un modelo de caminante
    • Escoja la ruta más segura para llegar a la escuela
    • Entienda las limitaciones de su niño

There’s growing interest in encouraging walking and bicycling to school in Wake County and across North Carolina for the health, social, academic, and other benefits. Bugg is one of the five schools participating in the Wake Model Safe Routes to School grant program aimed at helping improve safety and encourage more students and families to get to school by walking or biking. Our school is receiving staff support and funding to implement recommendations in the Bugg Safe Routes to School Action Plan, which was developed during the 2015/16 school year. Please contact Neil Young, PE teacher, if you are interested in getting involved in SRTS at Bugg ES.
