• Staff is on duty to assist your child during arrival and dismissal. To avoid traffic congestion, and maintain safety for our students we ask that you please: 

    • display your carpool tag and notify the office if you lose the tag. 
    • make RIGHT TURNS only when entering and leaving the carpool entrance.  The line should form on the right of Cooper Road, between Little John Drive and our entrance.
    • end all phone conversations before you enter the driveway.
    • keep pedestrian crosswalks clear of vehicles as you wait.
    Parents who choose to drive their children to school or carpool with other parents are expected to follow these guidelines. Our guidelines are designed to aid traffic control and maintain a safe environment for all students.

    AM Procedures:

    Drop off your children between 8:40 a.m. and 9:10 a.m. There is no adult supervision before 8:40 a.m. except for those who are enrolled in the Before School program.
     
    Breakfast is provided in the Positive Mealtime Experience (PME) Cafe for all children between 8:40 a.m. and 9:05 a.m.  Students will come straight from carpool/walker/bus into the PME Cafe and eat breakfast there.  After they will go to their class to collaborate in AM Innovation until 9:10. 
     
    PM Procedures:
     
    The front door will be locked at 3:15 p.m. in preparation for our dismissal time. This is for your child’s safety and to protect instructional time.
     
    NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER THE BUILDING TO PICK UP THEIR CHILDREN BETWEEN 3:15 P.M. AND 4:10 P.M. unless we have received prior notice that your child has an appointment or if there is an emergency.
     
    Please remember that NO TRANSPORTATION CHANGES can occur AFTER 1pm. If your child needs to go home a different way that their usual mode of tranportation, please notify the front office BEFORE 1pm that day. Thank you!
     
    Afternoon dismissal will begin promptly at 3:40 p.m. Students must be picked up by 4:10 p.m. since teachers and teacher assistants are no longer on duty after this time.  
     
    Carpool:  Students will be assigned carpool numbers during “Meet the Teacher” the first week of school. This number must be displayed in the front car windshield when picking up students. PLEASE GET YOUR CARPOOL NUMBERS DURING THE FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL and have your child memorize their carpool number. Carpool begins each day at 3:40 p.m.  Please do not pick-up or drop off children on Cooper Road. Do not ask your child to meet you on the street. This is very dangerous!
     
    Walkers:  All must live within the walking zone as assigned by Student Assignment.  Click Here to access form to apply to be a Walker and confirm you are in the assigned Walker zone. 
     
    For the safety of your child, please DO NOT pick up students in undesignated areas (i.e. across the street, at the crosswalk).
     
    Additional Information:
     
    Please do not leave unattended cars in the carpool or bus loading area in the morning between the hours of 8:10 a.m. and 9:20 a.m. Please observe the same rules in the afternoon between the hours of 3:15 p.m. and 4:10 p.m. Please park in a non-reserved parking space if you need to come into the building. You can also look for parking on the street, but please do not block the carpool lane.
