Any kindergarten or first grade student can be accepted into the dual immersion program regardless of Spanish experience.  Students who wish to enter the program in the 2nd - 5th grades, must have Spanish experience and be able to pass a proficiency exam.  These skills must be demonstrated in a profiency exam and include reading, writing, listening and speaking all in Spanish.  This exam is given by one of the Spanish teachers here at Hodge Road.  

Here is a sample exam that students would take.  This exam is for students on an end of first grade proficiency level so test takers would be those wishing to enter 2^nd grade.  The format of the test is the same for all grade levels.  The reading selection and questions would change based on the grade level.
