Welcome to Joyner Elementary Magnet School. Joyner has a proud tradition and history in Raleigh, North Carolina. Opening over 60 years ago, we have been a part of our community and enjoy teaching generations of children and families. A statement that guides our culture is that we are family. Our students are the heart of our work. Our staff creatively engages all learners on their journey towards being internationally minded with a call to act. As a magnet school, we proudly invite families from all over the Wake County community. The family relationships we build make us an even stronger community. Using the tenants of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, we infuse our curriculum with the joy of learning and the interconnectedness of the curriculum. Our students enjoy Spanish Language and Culture in a rich environment that integrates technology and media on a daily basis. We are grateful to a supportive PTA that brings even more fun to our school year through programs like our Science Go Round day, Joyner 5K and Healthy Choice Marathon, Joyner Jamboree, Books Fairs, Teacher Grants and more.
