Our theme for 2022-2023 was Crush IT: Collaborate, Rethink what is Possible, Use every minute, Step Up, Honor our Differences. 

Each school year we begin with a new theme that sets the course outlining our focus areas in our curriculum, parent and family engagement, and professional development with our staff. This year, our theme is BOOM: Building On Our Methods.  This year we will focus on all the amazing things we have learned in past years here at Scotts Ridge and building on our past experiences.  Parents, students, and staff will work together to make the 2021-2022 school year one of the best!

This year, our theme is All Together. This school year is certainly different from others, but we can accomplish anything All Together. Parents, students, and staff working All Together will make the 2020-2021 school year one of the best!

In 2019-2020 Our theme was LeVel Up! We focused on the following:

Level Up Classroom Community! Begin the year making connections with your students, establishing collaborative routines and procedures, and create environments in which students will thrive.

Level Up Formative Assessments! Focus on tools and techniques to have data at your fingertips by making assessments faster, easier, and more effective.

Level Up Differentiation! Increase your ability to meet the needs of every student every day by planning differentiated content, process, and/or product.

Level Up Read Alouds! Enhance the educational impact of daily read alouds by using planned and intentional questioning to dive into complex texts.

Level Up Technology Integration! Discover tools to enhance your instruction, reaching beyond high student engagement to provide authentic assessment and differentiated learning opportunities.

Level Up Productive Struggle! Provide opportunities that will help students to gain comfort and appreciation in being uncomfortable, working through a challenge, and failing forward.

Level Up Reflection! Engage in the cycle of reflection, revision, and reteaching to support student achievement and professional growth.

In 2018-19, our theme was A.S.K.? focusing on analytical, sequenced, and knowledge-building questions integrated into teaching and learning at SRE.

Our Scotts Ridge Elementary School teachers and staff are superheroes that go above and beyond the call of duty. We kicked off our 2017-18 school year highlighting and continued celebrating their super powers throughout the school year. Also, we wanted to let our families know our focus this school year and every year was harnessing our natural abilities to make sure every child is empowered to achieve their full potential by providing a healthy, safe, diverse, and engaging school environment. H.E.R.O.E.S. stood for and what our Scotts Ridge staff provide is Highly Engaging Rigorous Opportunities for Every Student.

L.E.G.O. - Loving Every Growth Opportunity, was our 2016-17 school theme because this was our school's second year being opened. We continued to build on the idea of loving every growth opportunity that we established our first year. This theme focused on trying to have more rigor and growth opportunities in the classroom, student involvement of setting academic and personal goals for themselves, and help continue to grow a successful school community. 

B.I.G. - Building Community. Imaging and Acting On All the Possibilities. Growth Mind Set for All, was our first school theme we used opening Scotts Ridge Elementary school. A school opening for the first year is an exciting exploration period.
