North Carolina requires students in grades 3–5 to take End-of-Grade (EOG) tests in reading and math, with science in grade 5. Scores show whether students are proficient.
Students who score “Not Proficient” may choose to retake the test during the last 10 days of school (May 11th–22nd). Retesting is optional and requires the parent/guardian permission letter sent home with your student. Students who pass (levels 3–5) are not eligible to retest.
Please let us know in advance if you would like your child to have the opportunity to retest if eligible by returning the form to your child’s teacher by Friday, May 1st.
For questions, contact our testing coordinator, Megan Ryan, at mryan2@wcpss.net.

Weekly Update 2/27/26
Posted by Michele Tempke on 2/27/2026 8:25:00 AMBoosterthon Fun Run | Save the Dates!
The PTA is excited to introduce this year's spring fundraiser, the Partnership Elementary Fun Run. We aim to raise $23,000 for classroom furniture and Responsive Classroom training, to benefit ALL students at Partnership Elementary.
We're excited about this fundraising experience because it offers three essentials to our school community:
1️⃣ User-friendly fundraising platform
2️⃣ Character enrichment program
3️⃣ Fitness-focused event that includes ALL of our students
You will work together as a family, asking friends and family to donate on your student's donation page at MyBooster.com. The best part is that you can still support our school just by SHARING about the fundraiser!
Students will also experience a fantastic character enrichment program called Star Quest 5, which explores how reading takes students on great adventures.

PME: Weekly Message 2/20/26
Posted by Michele Tempke on 2/20/2026 10:00:00 AMRescheduled: Strawbridge Class Pictures
Class pictures will be taken on April 7th. We apologize for the inconvenience of the date change.
Transportation Change Reminder
Please make any transportation changes BEFORE 2:45 pm. After that time, we cannot guarantee that your child will receive the message. The last 15 minutes of the day are very busy. If you are changing your child's method of transportation, it is best to notify their teacher in advance. Students will be sent home the way they normally go home if we do not have your consent. Thank you for your cooperation.
Arrival Time
We have experienced an increase in the number of tardy students. Please allot enough time to arrive at school by 8:20 am. Students who consistently arrive late are missing an opportunity to complete their morning work, get organized for the day, and lose the ability to work with their teacher.
Tips: Plan student outfits the night before and lay them out, have student backpacks prepared the night before, prepare lunch the night before, have fruit and a healthy grab-and-go breakfast available in the car, use a timer as a visual reminder, and have a morning checklist prepared for your child to check off when completed
