Mr. Kimbro
I am proud to serve as one of the Senior Partners here at Partnership Magnet Elem. and look forward to continuing to support our wonderful community!
I have served as an educator in the Wake County Public school system for 21 years, primarily at the elementary level. I began my career as an Adaptive Physical Education specialist in Person county N.C. while coaching with the Special Olympics organization. My introduction to WCPSS came in 2003, serving as the Physical Education teacher at Conn Magnet Elem. for 10 years. I then joined the Martin Middle School staff as the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Assistant Principal until Sept. 2021. I then returned to Conn Magnet Elementary as the Assistant Principal until June 2023 when I joined the Partnership Community.
I have been married for 16 to my wonderful wife Leigh and have a 12 year-old son Cole.
During our time together we enjoy watching sports (typically Cole’s baseball teams) as well as the ECU Pirates and Carolina Hurricanes.
I am originally from Caswell County N.C. and attended East Carolina University, earning a degree in Exercise Sport Science followed by a Masters Degree in Education. I then “converted” to North Carolina State University for a second Masters Degree in School Administration.
My educational philosophy is centered around the importance of relationships and sharing the joy of education. Children learn best when they feel supported, loved, and safe. I look forward to partnering with our entire community to ensure every child is successful knowing our entire community is centered around their learning and well-being.

Mrs. Tempke
I have been fortunate to serve as one of the senior partners at Partnership Magnet Elementary since 2017. My previous experience has been in the classroom teaching third grade (2 Years), second grade (8 Years), and kindergarten (3 Years). I briefly taught special education (1 Year) and first grade. I have two children: Ryan, 25 years old, and Nicholas, 21 years old, who attends UNC-W. I have a 4-year-old boxer, Moose, who is a contender for the world record for the longest tongue on a dog. My husband, Roy, of 32 years, is an administrator at UNC/Rex Healthcare in Holly Springs.
I am from Pennsylvania and attended Slippery Rock University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. I am also a graduate of East Carolina University, where I earned a Master's Degree in School Administration. I am a proud member of the Wolfpack and just completed the EdD program in Educational Leadership (graduation date December 2024). When my family and I are not watching the Carolina Hurricanes, we enjoy relaxing at Carolina Beach.
My philosophy is that children will learn if they enjoy coming to school each day. They will succeed if they know we believe in them and have high expectations. At Partnership Magnet Elementary, our small school size allows that strong sense of community and relationship building that supports students' growth. I genuinely enjoy building relationships with students and watching them grow.
