Teaching second grade at Lincon Heights is truly my dream job!  This is my fifth year at this amazing school.  I'm originally from Canton, Michigan. I received my first bachelor's degree from Northern Michigan University in Child Development.  I later earned a second bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Michigan - Flint. After taking some time off to raise my babies, I went back to teaching preschool and then moved into special education.  In 2018 my family and I moved to North Carolina. I have been happily married to my husband for 27 years. We have a son that just graduated from Appalachian State and is now a teacher at Herbert Akins Middle School and a daughter at UNC Wilmington. We also have a standard poodle named Scout.  I enjoy taking him for walks in my neighborhood. I also like to swim, camp, hike, and travel. When I have time, you will also find my reading, crafting, and making scrapbooks of my family’s adventures.
