Hello NFP Community!!  My name is Ron Gerdes, and I am the PE Teacher at North Forest Pines.

 

I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA.  I am a huge sports fan- the Steelers (NFL), Penguins (NHL), and UNC (college) are my favorites.  This will be my 26th year of teaching.  I taught in Las Vegas before moving to NC in 2004.  I am one of the original staff members at NFP from when our school opened in 2007.

 

I am married to Mrs. Gerdes (second grade teacher at NFP).  We have two daughters- Jordyn (19) and Madison (17).  I like to run, play with our dog, and spend time with my family in my spare time.  I enjoy teaching my students about movement, exercise, and sports.

I am looking forward to working with our Falcons this school year!!
