Ms. Londe
Hello Falcons! My name is Joanne Londe, and I am so excited to be the AIG teacher at North Forest Pines. Originally, I am from England, and although I’ve been in the U.S. for over 25 years now, you might still detect a slight accent. I graduated from Nottingham University with a B.Sc. in Mathematical Physics, but pivoting to elementary teaching was definitely a great career choice! I am a National Board Certified Teacher, and I have taught mainly third and fourth grade, first in California and since 2007, in North Carolina. I love to help my students work toward challenging goals, think creatively, and develop their curiosity. In the AIG program, we are building world changers and life-long learners!
I have been married to my husband, David, for over 30 years. We have two wonderful children, Rachael and Nathan, who are in college (NC State and Chapel Hill). They are both studying Computer Science and are cadets in the Air Force ROTC. I love to read and spend time outdoors, especially walking along the Neuse River Trail, or taking inshore fishing trips at the coast. I look forward to working with the NFP students and families!
