I am very happy to join the Oakview kindergarten team as an Special Programs Instructional Assistant this year.

I was born in Colombia where I earned a degree in Law. I came to the US and lived in California for 15 years, where I worked as a Rehabilitation Counselor for adults with special needs and later an Instructional Assistant and Behavior Instructor with special needs children.

Last year I moved to North Carolina and worked at Mills Park Elementary School as a one-on-one Instructional Assistant .

I have two sons, 23 and 20 years old. My older son lives in California and my youngest son lives with me. I love to spend time with my family as well as painting, photography, and cooking.

I can’t wait to meet all the kids and their families this year!
