My name is Kacheckia Dewitt and I am the 8th grade assistant principal at Holly Ridge Middle School. I’m excited to learn and grow with the staff, students, families, and HRMS community. I believe all scholars can experience academic growth when provided intentional, prescriptive, timely, and individualized support to meet their academic and social-emotional needs. My mission is to provide all teachers and students with the support and resources they need to grow and succeed. 

I am from Monroe, NC, and live in Spring Lake, NC, because of my family’s military connection. My husband is a retired Army officer, and we have three amazing children. I taught Biomedical Sciences in Cumberland County Schools for eight years. I served one year as an Innovative Partnership School Coach at an alternative high school and one year as an elementary school Principal Intern. I also served Lee County Schools as a middle school assistant principal for two years. I’m excited to serve Wake County Public Schools and the supportive community of educators, scholars, and families.
