I am thrilled to join Lead Mine's 2^nd grade team.  I grew up in Raleigh and have been teaching since 2020. I hold an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from WGU and am pursuing my Master's at UNC-Pembroke.

 

My passion for teaching stems from my love of reading—teaching kids how to read really is the best thing ever! I believe that early literacy is the foundation of lifelong learning, and I am dedicated to fostering a love for reading in my students. In my classroom, I focus on creating a nurturing environment where students can explore, play, and develop essential social-emotional skills. I'm excited to work with families to find fun and creative ways to include them in our classroom.
