My name is Summer Gilbert, and I am so excited to be teaching Kindergarten at Lincoln Heights this school year! This is my fourth-year teaching at Lincoln Heights and for Wake County Schools. I previously taught in the Harnett County School System for 4 years. I was an instructional assistant for 2 years while obtaining my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education online with The University of North Carolina at Wilmington. I live on the outskirts of Fuquay-Varina with my husband Tyler, our son Brantley and our fur baby. We have a very energetic Chocolate lab who loves to chew up all her toys, go on boat rides, swim, and get all the attention anybody will give her. In my free time, I love traveling, spending time with family and friends and soaking up any outside time I can get. I look forward to watching students grow this year!
