    2 Super Cool HBCU Fairs on Saturday, 2/7!

    Cardinal Gibbons High School (1401 Edwards Mill Road, Raleigh, NC 27607) will host its 2026 HBCU College Fair on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This event is co-hosted by the Cardinal Gibbons High School Black Student Union in partnership with the Triangle Jack and Jill Chapters.

    The HBCU College Fair is designed to help students explore a wide range of Historically Black Colleges and Universities from across the country, connect directly with admissions representatives, and learn more about academic programs, campus life, and pathways to higher education.

    The Emily K Center’s Game Plan: Future program is excited to announce their fourth annual Bull City in Black: HBCU ShowcaseThis event will be held on Saturday, Feb. 7th, from 12 PM - 3 pm at the Emily K Center in Durham, NC. This event will celebrate the history and enduring legacy of historically black colleges and universities across the state and region. Additionally, there will be workshops sharing valuable information on navigating college as a first-generation student, affording an HBCU education, and student experiences at HBCUs.    
    This event is free and open to all. We highly encourage high school students and their families to attend. Full details and registration can be found at https://www.emilyk.org/hbcu.  On-site admissions for seniors is possible with copy of transcript & test scores (if applicable)!

    Credit by Demonstrated Mastery (CDM) is the process by which a student may earn credit for a high school course by demonstrating a deep understanding of course content, without course enrollment or seat time.
