Single Subject Acceleration (SSA)

Students meeting qualifying criteria in grades K-7 can take advanced academic content in mathematics or English Language Arts through Single Subject Acceleration (SSA). This ensures opportunities for appropriate levels of academic challenge. Only students who are currently enrolled and attending a WCPSS school during the open nomination and testing window are eligible to be considered for SSA. 

Test Request Deadline: Traditional Calendar

Test Requests for the 2023-24 school year must be submitted during the request window.

Green Hope Elementary School's Test window is April 1-April 12, 2024

***We will not be accepting test requests until the window opens. No late requests will be accepted!

Test Request Forms:

A Google Form will be posted on April 1st. Please submit your request for testing via the Google Form.

Paper Copies of the request form are available upon request.

Testing Window:

Students will test for SSA placement for the 2024-25 school year during the testing window indicated below. Requests for the testing outside this window will not be accepted.

Green Hope Elementary's window is April 22 - May 6, 2024

Your request for testing must be documented and provided to Ms. Cossa. You will receive a message stating your completion of the request. The request must clearly indicate which ONE SUBJECT you wish your student to be tested.
