Ms. Pierce

"Hi everyone! My name is Nicolle Pierce and I am thrilled to be joining the Lead Mine family!

I am moving to Raleigh from Greenville, SC where I attended Furman University for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education as well as a Masters of Arts in Special Education. I have experience in the general education classroom as a 3rd-grade teacher, in addition to spending time at the Bluegrass Center for Autism in Louisville, KY.

I believe in creating a learning environment where all children feel welcomed and accepted for who they are by encouraging social emotional growth and nurturing their identity. As a teacher, I will affirm and validate students, while creating individualized opportunities in a safe learning environment that meets the individual needs of each student.

I will be beginning my third year of teaching and am overjoyed thinking about the upcoming school year! I am new to Raleigh, so I am looking forward to exploring the city. Outside of the classroom I enjoy hot yoga, reading, cooking and trying new foods, and running.

I anticipate with great enthusiasm loving, learning, and leading in the 2024-2025 school year. Let’s go leopards!"
