Hello! My name is Marissa Mayhew and I am so excited to be your child's first grade teacher this school year!

 

I am originally from Long Island, NY. After earning my bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education in 2013, I moved to Raleigh, NC and began my teaching career. In 2018, I earned my master's degree from NCSU in Curriculum and Instruction. This will be my 12th year in education. Over the years, I have taught third grade, second grade, first grade, and intervention for K-5 students. 

 

My husband, Dylan, and I have a three-year-old daughter, Layla, and two rescue dogs, Pippa and Gus. I love spending time with my family, traveling, and baking!
