Earn Money While You Learn  --- NCTAP

NCTAP is an apprenticeship program designed to develop experts needed in the modern workforce. The program, based in North Carolina’s Triangle area, focuses on integrated basic training which develops technical, methodological, and social skills. The core training program utilizes a hands-on approach to develop skills across a wide range of disciplines.

Starting in the 11th or 12th grade of high school, this 4-year program is divided into modules, with classes leading to an Associate’s Degree (AAS) at a local Community College, and paid, on-the-job training at participating Triangle employers.

The NC State Highway Patrol and the Wake Tech Community College Public Safety Education Department invite teens and young adults ages 16-20 to join EXPLORER POST 911 to explore careers with the NC State Highway Patrol, fire safety, and Emergency Medical Services(EMS) with hands-on career activities, professional mentors, field trips, volunteer projects, and more!

WRAL Explorer Post 5 offers young enthusiasts the unique opportunity to explore every facet of television broadcasting. From reporting and anchoring to producing riveting newscasts and filming local productions. 

Exploring is a career education program where we help connect students with local businesses in the area in a career that they are potentially interested in.  Exploring is for young adults (coed program), ages 14 to 20, who have completed the eighth grade.
