I am excited for my eleventh year teaching fifth grade and my fifth year at AES! I grew up in Apex, then moved to Asheville for 12 years, where I taught at a children's science museum after graduating from UNCA with a degree in Environmental Science. I loved teaching kids at the museum which led me to teaching in the classroom. When my daughter was born in 2019, my husband and I decided to move back to near Apex to be close to both our families, bringing me to AES! In 2022, we welcomed our son and moved to Sanford, along with our dog, cat, and chickens, where I love spending my time outside gardening, hiking, traveling, laughing, and spending time with family!
