Inbound Checklist for new Farmington Woods Families

• Access and Complete a WCPSS Registration Packet(create a log in at WCPSS Enrollment page to complete enrollment online)

  • Kindergarten Enrollment Packet
  • Grades 1-5 Enrollment Packet

• Proof of Residency

• Birth Certificate

• Immunization Record

• Prior School Information

• • Most Recent Report Card
  • Individualized Education Plan (IEP) if applicable
  • 504 Accommodation Plan if applicable
  • Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG) Plan if applicable
• If your family is connected to the military, please be sure to answer “Yes” on the Military Connection Questionnaire on the WCPSS online registration application form.  Your student’s registration will not be complete without this question being answered.
• Custody Papers (If applicable) 

Outbound checklist for families leaving FWES

•  Notify FWES that your child will be leaving within 2 weeks of deployment by contacting Mrs. Naftel (snaftel@wcpss.net) or Mrs. Tracy-Dale(mtracy-dale@wcpss.net) 
• If you are moving overseas, please contact Mrs. Tracy-Dale to coordinate the record transfer
• Contact your Family Readiness Center, Relocation Program, for information on your gaining installation and surrounding communities.  Visit https://www.militaryonesource.mil/ to obtain a Military Installation Guide to learn more about your family's new location!
• Visit the web page for both the state’s Department of Public Instruction and the local County/District School system. If your family's new assignment means going overseas, visit the DODEA website at https://www.dodea.edu/
  • Families can search for schools by country and/or military installation.  
• Contact the housing office at the gaining installation to determine the waiting period for on-base quarters. This may determine the school your child will attend. If you will be in temporary housing, contact the School Liaison Officer for assistance.
• Check the new school calendar for starting and ending dates.
• Hand-carry all recommended school records. (Do not put these records in your household goods)
