    Mrs. Heideman:  I was born and raised in Austin, TX and my family and I moved to North Carolina 3 years ago. My husband and I have 2 children: Camilla will be in 7th grade at Holly Ridge Middle School and Finn is a White Oak Explorer entering 3rd grade.

    I graduated from Texas State University in 2012 with a Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies EC-6th. This is my 13th year teaching and my sixth in 5th grade. I have taught all elementary grade levels except 2nd & 3rd.

    I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, listening to music, traveling, exploring our town, Target runs, and reading!

    Mr. Lynch: I’m thrilled to return to the White Oak 5th grade team for year #3! This will be my 13th year as a teacher, 10th as a fifth grade teacher. My wife Amy is a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner at Duke Children’s Hospital and we are the proud parents of our son Jack who will be a senior at Apex Friendship High School this year. I love being outdoors, especially running the local trails and parks in the cooler weather!

    Ms. Anderson:  Hey everyone! This year I will be starting my fourth school year teaching at White Oak Elementary. I am originally from South Carolina, but moved to the triangle area in second grade. I graduated from Appalachian State (ROLL NEERS!!) with a BS in Elementary Education and Masters in Reading Education. When I am not teaching or lesson planning, I love to lounge on the beach, spend time on the river, travel, read, shop and play with my cat Zuko. I'm looking forward to another great year as an explorer & excited for a new adventure in 5th grade :)

    Ms. Chance: I am excited to be teaching fifth grade at White Oak! I just moved to North Carolina this past June. I grew up in Connecticut, and I attended Central Connecticut State University, where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. This will be my fourth year of teaching; I have taught two years of third grade and one year of fifth grade. I am currently taking classes towards my Master's Degree in Literacy. In my free time I love to run, read, and travel. I look forward to working with you and your child this year!

    Ms. Poisson: Hello! I am originally from Rochester, NY and went to Union college for my bachelor’s degree. I played field hockey as the goalie for Union college and graduated with my B.S. in Neuroscience, specializing in brain development and mental health disorders. I moved to North Carolina in 2021 for the sunshine, and completed my Masters in teaching of elementary education at Meredith College in 2024. I complete my student teaching at White Oak Elementary in the spring of 2024 and I am thrilled to start my teaching career here! In my free time I love to draw and paint, knit, and any outdoor activities. I look forward to an amazing year!

    Ms. Money: Hello! I am so excited to be joining White Oak Elementary this year as your child’s 5th grade teacher! I was raised in Morrisville, NC with my older sister and brother and I look forward to teaching in the community that raised me. I attended North Carolina A&T State University where I received my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education with a focus on Diverse Learners. When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy cheering on the Carolina Hurricanes, watching tennis, traveling, spending time with my friends and family, and anything outdoors! I look forward to a great school year with your child!
