About me: Hello! My name is Candy Blackmon & I have been teaching 3-5th grade for 26 years. My family includes my husband of 31 years, William; my 21 year old daughter, Madilyn, starting her Senior year at UNC-Charlotte; my 25 year old nephew, Rhett; & my 15 year old Cavachon dog, Baily. Although I am a Montana native, William and I met in California when we were 21. We moved our family to NC 20 years ago because we love the Southern culture. I attended California Polytechnic University Pomona where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies. I also earned my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Claremont Graduate University. Some of my favorites include: 3rd grade, any beach, Chick-Fil-A, Caramel Frappuccinos, Reeses, Kohls, & the word BELIEVE!
