Dr. Nikia Davis
Dr. Nikia Davis is a dedicated educator with 25 years of experience in the field. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Fayetteville State University. From 1999 to 2007, Dr. Davis taught Middle Grades Social Studies and Science in Hoke County and Wake County Schools. In 2008, she earned a Master’s degree in School Administration from North Carolina Central University, which led to her first role as an assistant principal at Holly Springs High School, where she served for seven years.
In 2015, Dr. Davis was appointed Principal of East Cary Middle School. She later earned her Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) from East Carolina University in 2022. Dr. Davis brings a unique perspective to school leadership, focusing on cultural awareness and providing students with meaningful experiences that enhance their education.
Throughout her career, she has worked closely with district leadership to implement systemic changes that address educational disparities. A champion for equity and inclusion, Dr. Davis is committed to creating safe, reflective spaces for dialogue, and encouraging staff and students to take an active role in fostering positive outcomes. She continues to inspire her team and students to challenge the status quo, advocate for themselves, and collaboratively build a more equitable future.
