Thursday, June 11 was the last day of the 2025-26 school year!
Report cards were sent home with students last week.
Individual Score Reports for EOGs/EOCs are available for parents in the parent portal of Infinite Campus. Click HERE for directions to access.
Huge thanks to the Wildcat PTA for your outstanding support of our end of year student activities at all grade levels! In addition to hosting the Year 3 Dance and picnic, our PTA supported the Year 1 field trip, pizza party and Olympics and the Year 2 field trip and pizza party! I want to specifically thank the many parents who decorated for the dance, manned the refreshments during the dance, cleaned up after the dance, , handed out hotdogs/chips/drinks at the picnic, supervised activities at the picnic, chaperoned field trips and did all the many things that nobody saw that made things run smoothly for our students as they concluded another year! THANK YOU!!!!
And kudos to the PTA for providing a wonderful year end luncheon for faculty and staff. Our retirees and Teacher of the Year were feted with a terrific lunch from Bella Italia and Paul and Jack’s as the back drop. Special thanks to the hospitality team who made the event so special.

EOG readministration (retesting) will be this week (Monday and Tuesday). Students who are retesting received an email from Ms. Nock, our testing coordinator, about room location. Students who are uncertain where to go should report to the main lobby and staff will assist them in finding their testing locations.

- Students are expected to bring their charged Wake County Chromebooks and their charger on testing days. All testing will be online and personal computers are not permitted. If a Year 3 student is retesting and has turned in his/her Chromebook, one will be provided for retesting.
- We are not permitted to interrupt the testing setting and are not able to check students out until school-wide testing ends at approximately 1:00pm each day, though on some days testing may extend beyond 1:00pm. This includes all students on campus, even if they are not testing that day.
- As you are planning appointments for your child, you will want to consult the testing schedule.
- Fitbits, Apple Watches, airpods, Smart Glasses, smart devices and watches are not permitted in the testing room. Have students keep these items at home during testing.
- Cell phones must be turned off and put away for the entirety of the testing session.
Thursday, June 11 is the last day of the 2025-26 school year! It’s been a great year and I wish our students and their families a happy summer!
A huge, huge shout out to the Wildcat PTA for a fabulous Under the Sea dance for our Year 3 students. Students were awed by the life-size octopus and coral reefs that transformed the cafeteria into a dance venue! The dj was great and the food was terrific. The photo booth and the courtyard games were a big hit. The West Millbrook PTA hosts this event each year free of charge to our Year 3 students as we kick off the many celebrations to end their middle school years! Thanks to PTA VP Kelly Keane, committee chairs Meaghan Chilton and Laura Olson, and the many parents who made Friday night so special for our students!

Kudos to directors Mrs. Johnston and Mr. Thomas and a huge thanks to Ms. Nay and Ms. Maxwell and to all the Wildcat staff that supported the production in different ways! Ms. Aman's April 26 Family Message
Posted by Kelly Aman on 4/26/2026 8:00:00 AMPara leer este mensaje en español, haga clic aquí.
School is closed for students on Friday, May 1. It is a teacher workday for faculty and staff.
The West Millbrook Drama Department proudly presents “Matilda Jr.”! Matilda the Musical is a stage adaptation of Roald Dahl’s classic novel about a brilliant young girl named Matilda! With high intelligence and psychokinetic powers, she uses her wit and imagination to overcome her neglectful parents and tyrannical headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, while forging a special bond with her teacher, Miss Honey. Performances are Wednesday, April 29th and Thursday, April 30th at 7pm. Tickets are $7 and we will not be accepting cash!

Bathroom procedures – To reduce inappropriate student behavior in bathrooms and hallways and to ensure all students have access to restrooms and water fountains, we have shifted to a whole class bathroom break each period of the day.
Let’s Talk Special Education: Families of students who receive Special Education Services are invited to this event on May 11th from 6-7:30 at the Knightdale High School auditorium. Topics will include the regional model, budget and allocations, school support and Family and Community connections.
Reality of Money and IB Community Project practice were held last Friday. We appreciate the State Employees Credit Union (and all their volunteers) for making Reality of Money possible. Thanks to all the parents who volunteered to support this event as well.
Signs of Suicide lessons will be presented to Year 2 students by their school counselor (Mr. Wishon) this week.
EOGs will begin on Friday, May 29 and continue through Wednesday, June 10. A schedule of which tests will be administered on which days will be released the week of May 11. As you plan appointments for your student during the 10-day testing window, we want to remind families that we are not permitted to interrupt the testing setting and are not able to check students out until school-wide testing ends at approximately 12:30 each day. This includes all students on campus, even if they are not testing that day.
NC Check Ins for Math 8 will be administered this week. NC Check Ins provide students and their teachers with data about mastery of grade-level-specific content standards which guides instruction. NC Check Ins are also a strong predictor of future EOG achievement.
Congratulations to our student performers who did a great job in Wildcats Got Talent 2026. Thanks to all the students who attended and supported our performers. We are so proud of everyone who participated, your talents were incredible. Awards were given to:
Crowd favorite - Olivia Moore
Most creative - Nikolas Jocic

Thanks to our fantastic Student Council members, Ryleigh Pham and Quinn Rodriguez who did an excellent job hosting the event and to our special guest staff performers. It was a great event! And a huge shout out to Ms. Jetter and Ms. Williams, our student council advisors, who made this event possible!
