Extracurricular Clubs (Before or After School)

Barton Pond clubs will be determined based on community interest, organizational interest, and sponsor/volunteer availability. 

External organizations wishing to host an activity or club at Barton Pond must request the use of space through WCPSS Community Use.

LEAP Clubs (In-School Clubs)

LEAP Clubs are weekly enrichment opportunity for students starting in the second quarter of the school year. The vision for this program is to provide a "club-like" opportunity for all students during the school day, which will enhance students' overall learning experience. 

Our clubs extend the curriculum, engage students in social-emotional learning, practice the 4Cs (creativity, communication, collaboration, & critical thinking) and/or provide students with an opportunity to develop 21st century skills (citizenship, social responsibility, technology, global awareness, innovation, etc.)

Clubs are planned and led by staff, who may choose to collaborate with volunteers. Students are scheduled into a club based on an interest survey.
