Barton Pond Elementary School will employ Positive Behavior Intervention & Supports (PBIS) to teach and reinforce our positive expectations for students. As a staff, we collaborated to establish our core expectations: Love, Engage, Act Safely, Persevere. All school and classroom expectations will relate back to these values.
Barton Pond will start each school day with a 15 minute block dedicated to the social-emotional well-being of students. In order to support this learning, staff will use resources from the Positivity Project to teach students 24 character strengths, empowering students to form positive relationships and be their best selves.
