About Our School

Woods Creek Elementary will be the only new school opening in the Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) during the 2024-25 school year. We will serve Pre-K through 5th grade students and operate on a year-round calendar.

On November 21, 2023, the WCPSS School Board appointed Mr. Jonathan Hegedus as the founding principal to lead the opening of Woods Creek Elementary. Mr. Hegedus previously served as principal of Adams Elementary since 2018.
