    Hello Wildcats!

    Are you waiting on your new or fixed Chromebook? If so, be sure to watch for your name on the TV screen in the senior lounge or in the media center. If you see your name, come to the media center to pick your Chromebook up! 

    There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, September 25 at 9:15 in the media center for Governors School . Governors School is a 4-week summer enrichment program for academically gifted students in a discipline area of their choice. Eligible students need to have a weighted GPA of at least 3.5 to apply. Sophomores interested in the arts and all Juniors are encouraged to come learn more about this great opportunity!

    School pictures Make-Up/Retake: Students who were absent and unable to get pictures taken will be able to participate in the make-up day on Tuesday, October 22. Make-up pictures will be taken in the Media Center during both lunches.

    Yearbooks are on sale NOW for the LOWEST price of the year. Order your yearbook before September 27 and get it for the Back-to-School special price of $90.     Reflections Art Contest: For our creative students, this is one of the coolest recognition opportunities available to them! This year’s Reflections art contest theme is “Accepting Imperfection.” Share what it means to you in the form of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, or the visual arts. Students should bring their submission to room 1410 by October 30th. Click here for contest details.

    If you enjoy English class, reading, and you're willing to help tutor others in English, you should come join us in English honors society!  Available to sophomores, juniors, and seniors.  Applications are due this Wednesday, the 25th.  See the English honors society Instagram for application instructions.

    CLUBS

    The Millbrook Robotics Club is hosting a hygiene drive through October 23. We are accepting donations of travel-sized items such as toothpaste, soap, deodorant, sunscreen, and more. Donations are being accepted in the Media Center, the Main Office, (Mr. Richards' room #220), (2nd floor room #2403), and (pods room #801). See any robotics team member for details.

    Join Culture Club in room 1413 from 2:30 - 3:30 on 9/26 for our first meeting and to learn about Hispanic Heritage Month!

    Join Fellowship of Christian Athletes for See You At the Flagpole, a nationwide event, Wednesday, 9/25 7-7:20 am to pray for our school. All are welcome.

    The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) meets Wednesday in the main gym at 7:00 am for breakfast and a student-led devotional. You do not have to be an athlete to join. All are welcome.

    Do you enjoy playing games?  Then come and check out the Multimedia Gaming Club!  We meet every Friday from 2:30 to 4:00 PM in the Media Center.  We have board games, and a TV is available if you want to bring in your favorite video games to play (you need to bring in your own console and controllers.  Most members bring their Switch). The only rule is no first person shooters.

    SENIORS:

    Caps & Gowns: Caps & Gowns for the class of 2025 are now on sale through the Jostens website. Order before October 15, 2024 to take advantage of Millbrook's group pricing of $37. After that date, the cost will increase. Information went home with seniors through homeroom. Once on the ordering site, please note that the first set of packages may be more expensive than what your high schooler needs. Your high schooler only needs the $37 package.
