    It’s Now Open Enrollment Season for Wake Tech CCP for 2025-26!

    Wake Tech CCP Application portal has opened for the Fall 2025 Term, as of March 1, 2025. Each student has their own individualized process whether they are a New (Prospective) CCP Student or a Current (Continuing CCP Student). Please click on the links below based on your current status.

    New Students: Any student(s) who has not previously been admitted into the program.

    Current Students: Any student(s) who has been admitted prior to the upcoming enrollment cycle.

    Who is the “Principal Designee?” It’s Dean of Students, Catherine Brown, and her email is crbrown@wcpss.net. Input her as your Principal Designee and not Dr. Saunders.

    Applications (for New Students) and Continuing Student Forms must be approved by the CCP Team in order for students to obtain clearance to register for courses beginning April 11, 2025.

    Quarter Two Academic Recovery Plans

    Any student who failed a course for Quarter Two may complete an Academic Recovery Plan (ARP) to increase Quarter Two final grade to a 60.  Plans are located on the student's course Canvas site.  All work related to the ARP should be completed and submitted to the teacher no later than Friday, February 28th, 2025.  If you have any questions on how to access your ARP, you may speak with your teacher or alpha counselor for assistance.

    PROM Bulletin 2025

    IT’S PROM TIME! Here’s what you need to know: Prom is from 8pm-11pm on April 12th at North Ridge Country Club.

    TICKET SALES: Tickets will be on sale through GoFan from 3/10 - 4/12. Early Bird tickets are $50 and on sale from 3/10 - 3/23. Regular tickets are $55 and on sale from 3/24 - 4/12.

    Tickets may only be purchased by Juniors or Seniors. Only two tickets may be purchased in total per Junior or Senior Millbrook student. Before purchasing their prom ticket(s), students must review the Prom Bulletin for important details and prom expectations: bit.ly/prombulletin25

    The 2025 Soup’er Bowl: Our students don't have school on February 17th, but our MHS staff has a Teacher Workday, so we're treating them to lunch! The theme for this luncheon is warm, hearty soups and chilis, with yummy sides.     Volunteers Needed on Monday, February 17th: Please help stuff goodie bags on the February Teacher Workday, Monday, Feb.17th, for the upcoming Academic Celebration. We will gather from 8:00-10:00am in the Media Center to stuff roughly 800 bags! Many hands are needed! Stay as long as your schedule allows.     Spirit Night at BRIXX in the Bedford Community February 18th: Take a break from making lunch or dinner. Dine in or take out, mention MHS at checkout and you will be supporting PTSA all day, from noon until 9pm. And, test your knowledge at Trivia Night from 7-9pm!     Celebrating Academic Achievement Feb. 26 and Feb. 27: Students who have earned an unweighted GPA of 3.5 or higher (AP, Honors, IB classes not given extra weight) during the first semester will be celebrated during 1st period on Wednesday Feb.26 (9th, 10th) and Thursday Feb. 27 (11th, 12th). This in-school event will celebrate students as a group, however they will not be individually recognized. Parents may participate by volunteering or sending in needed items here or through the Amazon wishlist. (Parents who would like to attend the brief program portion should arrive well in advance of the 7:45am start, plan to park at Millbrook Exchange park, and bring an ID to the front check-in window for admission.)

    CLUBS

    Math Honor Society is offering free peer tutoring for math classes and SAT/ ACT preparation. Hour-long tutoring sessions occur on the first Wednesday (if it’s a school day) of the month, in room 3411.  The next session is this Wednesday, February 5th, from 2:30-3:30pm. Students who are logged into their WCPSS student account can sign up at bit.ly/MHSPeerMathTutor

    National Achievers Society (NAS) and National Honor Society (NHS) members offer peer-tutoring services on most Thursdays, before and after school. Students interested in receiving academic assistance from a peer should sign up for each tutoring session using this form, from their WCPSS student account:  https://bit.ly/tutorcats24

    The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) meets Wednesdays in the main gym at 7:00 am for breakfast and a student-led devotional. You do not have to be an athlete to join. All are welcome.

    Do you enjoy playing games?  Then come and check out the Multimedia Gaming Club!  We meet every Friday from 2:30 to 4:00 PM in the Media Center.  We have board games, and a TV is available if you want to bring in your favorite video games to play (you need to bring in your own console and controllers.  Most members bring their Switch). The only rule is no first person shooters.

    Indigenous people's club meetings will be Tuesdays after school at 2:30, in Mr. Watkins room. Come learn about the amazing culture of the indigenous people. Snacks will be provided.

    SENIORS:

    Senior - Have you paid your Senior Fee online yet???: The fee covers senior activities, your graduation stole, and your diploma with cover, and it’s $60. Please pay through School Funds Online. Keep your email receipt as it takes some time to update in PowerSchool fees. Reach out to Ms. Skipper, rskipper@wcpss.net,  with any questions or concerns.

    ATHLETICS:

    Congrats to the Millbrook boys cross country team on winning the NAC conference championship.  This is their 5th straight conference championship win.  Varsity runners included: Wyatt Pearce, Tyler Nichols, Hayden Little, Kaleb Howard, Tyler Harding, Cooper Carlisle, Ben Catron, and Reed Pruchniewski
