National Junior Honor Society
-
The purpose of the National Junior Honor Society is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, stimulate a desire to render service, promote leadership, and develop character in secondary school students. Membership in a local chapter is an honor bestowed upon a student and is based on outstanding Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Character, and Citizenship. Once selected, members have the responsibility to continue demonstrating these qualities in both school and community settings.Being a member of NJHS is a special recognition that honors not only academic success, but also character and dedication to others. Built on the pillars of Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Character, and Citizenship, NJHS challenges students to live out these values daily. Membership is not simply recognition for past accomplishments. It is a commitment to making a positive difference.
