Book Lists for Inspiration

Remember These Tips

  •  

    • Think about what you enjoy, what movies you watch, what you do with your time. 

    • Google "Books like..." and enter something you enjoyed.

    • Ask your friends, teachers, or a librarian.

    • Read the back or inside cover.

    • Try a book club - social reading can be great.

    • Check the book lists above.

    • Try fan fic or Watt Pad.

    • Don't feel bad if you have to scrap it and find a new one.

     

HOW TO FIND A BOOK THAT'S THE RIGHT FIT FOR YOU

  • Find a print book!

    Destiny Use the Wake ID portal > Follett Destiny icon to search and put a "Hold" on a book for you to pick up.  Tutorial here.

    question Ask a librarian for a suggestion. Use the form or come see us in person.  

    search  Look for a book using the search station.  Search a title or keywords.

    genres  Browse the genres in the LC. Look for romance, thrillers, mysteries, sci-fi/fantasy, realistic, and more.

    WCPL  Visit the public library in person or online.

    Quail ridge  Check out Quail Ridge Books, your local bookstore.
