Ms. Holden is proud to be a part of the MECME community, which she joined in May 2024. She is truly excited to join a community that is clearly dedicated to the children it serves.

 

Ms. Holden is a proud product of Wake County Public School and attended North Carolina Central University, where she studied sociology and special education. After graduating, she began her career in education here in WCPSS teaching special education and reading intervention. While teaching full-time, she decided to pursue her M.Ed in Special Education at Meredith College. She has also served schools at the district level as a Literacy Coordinating Teacher and Special Education Coordinating Teacher. Recently, Ms. Holden received her Masters in School Administration from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

 

In her free time, she runs around after her 3-year-old son, Giannis. She also enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, attending music festivals, and enjoying the life of a “self-proclaimed” foodie trying different restaurants and recipes.
