Hello! My name is Michelle Willis and I am the physical education specialist. I am so excited to be back as part of the Lead Mine family.  I previously taught 5th grade here from 2007-2012 but moved to middle school when I got my Healthful Living certification. I am originally from Ohio, but have lived in Raleigh for the past 25 years and consider it home. My husband, Andy, and I have a daughter, Sydney, who is 24 and in her 3rd year of grad school at UVA. We also have a very sweet pittie mix named Myra. 
 
I am an avid runner, certified yoga instructor and a VERY amateur CrossFitter.  I truly believe that movement, physical activity, and social interaction are key to a happy, healthy. and productive life. It is my goal to teach your child the skills necessary to recognize the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle and to realize their full potential both in and outside the classroom.
