I am thrilled to join the Lead Mine community as your new Assistant Principal. I look forward to getting to know our staff, students, and families.

After graduating from East Carolina University with a degree in Middle Grades Education, I earned my Master’s degree in School Administration from North Carolina State University as a North Carolina Principal Fellow. In my ten years in education, I have served as a middle school English Language Arts Teacher, a Reading Intervention Teacher, and a middle school Assistant Principal.

Outside of school, I enjoy sporting events, attending live theatre, and being outdoors hiking or camping. I love to read and am always looking for a good book recommendation. I am married to my husband, Blake, who is a high school teacher, and we love spending time with our dog, Harper.

It is an honor to serve this community, build meaningful relationships, and contribute to bringing joy to our building each and every day. I am excited for the opportunity for us to learn and grow together.
