Joining the Lead Mine Elementary team as Principal on August 1, 2019 fulfilled a lifelong goal of mine to one day lead an elementary school! I could not have joined a more amazing team! My husband and I reside in Raleigh with our family dog  J.J.  My daughter, Jordyn, is a junior at the University of North Florida. My son, Jacob, graduated from NC State and works in the field of website optimization. I look forward to continuing to grow with each of you as we continue to build on the excellence already in place at Lead Mine Elementary.

The 2024-2025 school year will be my thirtieth year in elementary education. In addition to serving as a Principal and an Assistant Principal, I have taught K, 1, 2 & 3 in North Carolina and Florida, and have also been an Instructional Resource Teacher and Reading and Mathematics Intervention Teacher. My decision to become an administrator was rooted in my belief that school leaders serve as facilitators of learning.  My desire is to be an instructional leader who supports whole-school efforts to increase our effectiveness as a collaborative, results-oriented community.

I am honored to continue to serve with families and staff that possess a passion for creating an environment that is built upon ‘Loving, Learning, and Leading’.  I am confident that as we work together, we will continue to provide the support needed to be effective in our guidance of all Lead Mine Elementary learners.
