    In active partnership with families and the community, Douglas Creative Arts and Science Magnet Elementary School is dedicated to providing a nurturing and collaborative environment that promotes independence, creativity, self-confidence, and responsibility within each learner.

    The arts and sciences are seamlessly woven into everyday learning, offering students a dynamic and enriched educational experience. Through our specialized programs in dance, drama, visual arts, music, science, physical education, and media/technology, students are introduced to diverse and engaging ways of learning. Our specialists (our Multiple Intelligences Team or MI Team) and classroom teachers collaborate regularly, integrating arts and science concepts with core curriculum subjects. This approach fosters an engaging, hands-on learning environment where students thrive, teachers are inspired, and the school hums with creativity and curiosity every day.

    Douglas Creative Arts & Science Magnet Elementary School will provide relevant and engaging education and will graduate students who are collaborative, creative, effective communicators and critical thinkers.
