Welcome friends,

I am proud to say that this is my twentieth year working at Lincoln Heights Environmental Connections Magnet Elementary. I have spent time coaching teachers and teaching in first and second grade. Before that, I spent seven years teaching preschool. I now have the role of Academically Gifted Teacher, and I am excited to be able to work with students and teachers at all grade levels.

I usually spend summers exploring nature in my RV and exploring state parks. I am passionate about the environment and helping others to discover the magic of the natural world. I recently earned my North Carolina Environmental Educators Certificate and hope to be able to help our students become future stewards of our earth.

I am originally from the United Kingdom and have now lived in America for 35 years.  My two eldest children, Kenneth and Jonathan, both graduated from the public school system and this year my youngest, Rebekah, is now a junior. I enjoy spending time with my grandbaby, Holly. My husband, Kevin, teaches high school math, so our house is full of lifelong learners. I have a strong belief in our school, our goals and our commitment to teaching and reaching every child.
