Hello Rocket Families! My name is Brittany Embler and I am the Instructional Facilitator & Literacy Coach at FVES! I started in this role in January 2025. Previously, I taught Kindergarten for 8 years and First Grade for 4 years.

 
    I have a passion for supporting the amazing teachers here. I love to be present in classrooms, supporting both teachers and students.

    I graduated from Meredith College with a degree in Child Development and a minor in Psychology. I obtained both the B-K & K-6th grade teaching licensures. My favorite memory from Meredith College was studying abroad in Italy. I was fortunate to study in various school settings in Italy and learned so much from that experience.

    I am originally from Eastern North Carolina but never left Wake County after attending Meredith College. My husband, Brett, and I live in Fuquay with our son, Weston, who is a Kindergartener this year at FVES! We have a 14-year-old dog, Packer, and a 3-year-old bunny named Bugs! When I’m not at school, we spend our time at NC State football games, in the mountains and traveling. I love to read, bake, garden and spend time outside.
