Ms. Kathleen Moore

Hello Oakview families!

I am thrilled to be your child’s 2nd grade teacher, this upcoming year! I am originally from Raleigh, NC and graduated from Sanderson High School. In 2009, I moved to Boston to pursue higher education and completed my undergraduate studies at Northeastern University. There, I received a BA in Sociology and in addition, minored in Elementary Education. Through that program, I earned licensure in grades 1 - 6 with an SEI endorsement. After graduating, I spent time working in 2nd grade classrooms as a teacher assistant and behavior therapist respectively, before returning to school in 2017 to complete a master’s program in Special Education (Moderate Disabilities) at Endicott College.

In my free time I love practicing and teaching Taekwondo! It’s a passion of mine and over the years I have found that it provides many benefits for those of all ages, especially our youth. I also enjoy traveling the world, learning about and experiencing different cultures and spending time with family and friends!

I am very much looking forward to getting to know our rising 2nd graders! It’s going to be a great year full of learning, while having fun along the way!
