Hello. My name is Gary Duvall and I am the proud Principal/Lead Learner of Ligon GT/AIG Magnet Middle School. I would like to be the first to Welcome You to Ligon and our wonderful learning community. 

I consider myself fortunate to have spent my entire career in education with WCPSS. Before my apppointment to Ligon, I was principal of Conn Magnet Elementary School. Prior to moving into school leadership, I have previously worked in magnet schools as a teacher, technology area leader, and coach. 

As a child with a parent in the Armed Forces, I spent a majority of my time as a student in diverse and culturally rich educational settings throughout our various stays both internationally and stateside. These life experiences are one of the reasons that attracted me to magnet schools as an educator. My wife and I are proud parents of our three children, ages 7, 12, and 15. As a family, we enjoy traveling to the beach and mountains, along with being avid Florida State football fans. Go Noles!

We are committed to helping students see and reach their potential through high expectations, care, rigor, and unique learning opportunities.
