Hello! My name is John Bingham, and I came out of retirement to serve as the interim 6th-grade assistant principal for the remainder of this school year.

After graduating from The Ohio State University, my wife and I moved to the area. Over the next few years, I taught middle and high school social studies for Wake County Public Schools. I later served as an assistant principal at Cary High School after earning a Master’s in School Administration from UNC Chapel Hill.

My final years in education were especially rewarding, as I helped open the then-new Wake Young Men’s Leadership Academy. Wake County has been a wonderful place to raise our two children.

In my free time, my wife and I enjoy playing with our grandkids, spending time at the beach and in the mountains and relaxing with friends on our boat.
